Originally established in 2005 by Tara Esperanza in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Tara's Organic Ice Cream is hand crafted in small batches with only the purest organic ingredients. Due to her background in fine dining, Tara brings an artful sophistication to her ice cream. Fresh fruit, herbs and freshly ground spices are creatively blended into 174 different flavors... and the result is richly aromatic, authentic flavor for true ice cream lovers.
Just the right amount of cane sugar or light raw agave is used so you can taste the honest flavor of the ingredients, with flavors such as Mexican Chocolate, Dirty Chai, Nutmeg and Caramelized Pear. Organic waffle cones are made fresh daily and rolled by hand. For the adventurous, try their black sesame waffle cone with a toasty, exotic essence and healthful antioxidants.
Tara has clearly put her heart and soul into creating a neighborhood ice cream shop with delicious, all natural sweet treats and a truly warm welcome!

Tara's creativity is not only expressed in her imaginative ice cream, she's also a brilliant painter. Enamored with Mexico and Mexican culture, two of her paintings are seen here.
"It's kind of like my display case is another canvas and my ingredients are like the paints that I mix up to create my colors. All the colors that are in my paintings I create. No color comes straight out of the paint container. I mix it all, so yes, my ice cream is another creative expression and ties into my art." -Tara Esperanza
